DEACONS

The Deacons at Hitchcock Presbyterian Church are often called the “caring arm of the church,” dedicated to supporting members in times of need and fostering a strong sense of community.

The Board consists of 16 elected members serving three-year terms. Their responsibilities include visiting the sick, organizing transportation and meals, welcoming visitors, and coordinating events that bring the congregation together. This year we have slightly restructured our board. Each deacon serves on one of three committees--Communications, Care, or Connections—and represents one of four parishes, ensuring personal outreach and regular communication within the church family. In times of concern or need (or joy) please reach out to one of your assigned deacons. Regular updates will be provided from the Communications committee on any upcoming events via Hitchcock Happenings, email bulletins, or brief announcements at select church services.
