We invite you to be our guest at Hitchcock Presbyterian Church!

If you are planning to visit for the first time, here is some helpful information that may answer some of your questions:

Where is the church located?

Our church buildings are located at 6 Greenacres Avenue, Scarsdale, NY 10583. We are at the intersection of Greenacres Avenue and Walworth Avenue.

Can I take the train to the church?

We are just over the Bronx River Parkway from the Hartsdale Train Station on the Metro North Railroad, Harlem Line. It is a 1-2 minute walk from the station to the church.

We have a parking lot located at the bottom of the hill off Greenacres Avenue. There is also ample on street parking along Greenacres Avenue and Walworth Avenue.

What about my children?

We welcome you and your children. If you have children, Sunday School is offered during worship (during the school year), with children joining their parents in worship at the beginning of the service and remaining through the Time with Children, after which they are excused to go to Sunday School.

We offer a nursery (four year-olds and younger) staffed by paid childcare attendants. The nursery is located in the Memorial Building, on the top floor, in Room 30.

What should I wear?

Some people come to worship dressed in suits and ties, and others come dressed casually, while some choose to wear their jeans.

Who will I see?

You will find a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregation eager to welcome you into our midst. Our congregational composition is rather unique among Presbyterian Churches, and for that we are blessed!

What if I have special needs?

Our sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, and there is an elevator located in the building. Hearing aids are available, and large print hymnals are placed throughout the sanctuary.

Join us following worship!

Following worship, we offer a friendly “Coffee Hour.” You are encouraged to stay and join us for light refreshments and the opportunity to get to know us better. Coffee Hour is held in the Children’s House building (lower level) during the colder months or inclement weather, and on the patio just outside of the sanctuary in the spring and summer months.
