Death and Dying Workshop
There has been a date change.
Event rescheduled from October 14 to October 21 -10 am to noon
While it is not a fun topic to discuss, it is an important topic in the life of a congregation and for each of us. The promises of our faith assure us that death is not the end, but rather a transition from this life into the next. How that transition happens is not up to us, but we do have the ability to prepare so that we and our families are better able to cope during difficult days. What does one do in such a workshop? We will talk
about death and dying itself. We will learn about wills, bequests, advanced directives, powers of attorney, etc. And, we will plan parts of our service. What hymns would you choose? What Scriptures? These questions are often difficult for families after a loved one has passed, so we will seek to make it easier by doing a little pre-planning. This promises to be an interesting time together! I hope you will consider joining us on October 21, from 10am-Noon
